Privacy Policy

Summary
We collect what we need to introduce you to people in your area: your phone number, first name, age, gender, city, and any details you choose to share. We don't sell your data. We don't share your number with other users. You can delete your account anytime.
What we collect
- Phone number. Required to send and receive SMS. Never shown to other users.
- Profile fields. First name, age, gender, city/suburb, and a short bio. These appear on your candidate cards visible to potential intros.
- Preferences.What you're looking for, ages, distance, date styles. Used only to score matches.
- Verification selfie. Used solely to confirm liveness; not shared.
- SMS history. We keep inbound and outbound message records to operate the service and meet regulatory obligations.
- Payment data. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see them. We retain only the Stripe customer ID and the transaction outcome.
How we use it
- Match you with potential intros and group meetups.
- Send transactional SMS (reminders, confirmations, vibe nudges).
- Process payments and manage credits.
- Detect abuse, spam, and fraud.
- Improve safety (e.g. acting on REPORT messages).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't show your phone number to other users.
- We don't use your profile for advertising on other platforms.
Who sees what
Your first name, age, suburb/city, bio, traits, date styles, and photo (once verified) are visible to people we suggest as intros — and only after you both accept. Phone numbers are never shared until a venue and time are locked in.
Third parties we use
- Stripe — payments.
- Kudosity (formerly Burst SMS) — SMS delivery.
- Anthropic — to extract structured data from your SMS replies and to polish wording. Messages are sent over their API for processing; we don't store anything with them beyond the request.
- DigitalOcean — application + database hosting (Sydney region).
Where your data lives
Our database is hosted with DigitalOcean in their Sydney (syd1) region. Backups are stored in the same region.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles you can:
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account — email [email protected] or reply STOPand we'll remove your profile within 30 days.
- Complain to us, and if unhappy, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
How long we keep it
- While your account is active.
- For up to 30 days after deletion, in case you ask us to restore.
- SMS audit logs and payment records may be retained longer to meet legal/tax obligations (up to 7 years).
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, encrypted at rest for our database, and access controls on our admin tooling. No system is perfect — if you spot a vulnerability, please email [email protected].
